Part-Time Sales Consultant
Located in Kitchener, and reporting to the Sales Manager, the Sales Consultant is responsible for in-store sales of blinds, drapery, shutters, and other products and services.
As the successful candidate you will have experience with retail sales and strong people skills. You will have a fundamental interest in decoration and design. In addition, you have a demonstrated ability to accurately measure and provide comprehensive advice to the client about products to meet their needs and budget provided.
Ideally, you will have post-secondary training and hold a diploma or certificate in a design related field.
You will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a sales role where you demonstrated versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to adapt to change and work with a changing set of priorities.
You have experience managing multiple projects and meeting stringent deadlines within in a results driven, and service focused environment. You demonstrated passion towards the success of the business, responsibility for your decisions, and delivered results that supported the organizations goals.
Key Duties & Responsibilities Include
Working with clients to provide primarily, but not limited to, blinds, shutters, shades, drapery, and other services.
Review architectural drawings to provide commercial or residential quotes
Maintain and update the sample library, such as fabrics.
Networking and promoting yourself and the business through networking groups, events and trade shows.
Annual training to maintain relevancy in the industry
Basic administrative duties.
In addition, you will have
A demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and openly with clients, team members and supervisors in a timely and positive manner.
An outstanding and positive attitude and are dependable and consistently deliver high quality professional service.
Excellent problem solving skills
Basic math skills involving fractions and measurement
Proficiency with Microsoft MS Office Suite, including MSWord and MSExcel.
A valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to approximately 100km of the store for meetings, training, etc.
